Hare Krishna Food for Life has its main Brisbane office in Seventeen Mile Rocks, just 20 minutes outside of Brisbane's CBD. Our main project operates in 226 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, just next to the train station.
The Hare Krishna Food for Life facility in Fortitude Valley is part of a global effort to see that no one within a 30-kilometre radius of our operation centers goes hungry. It's a much-needed, essential community function where hundreds of meals are served out for free every week to the needy and homeless.
Hare Krishna Food for Life Group Inc. is a registered charity organisation with the mission of distributing freely vegetarian foodstuffs and guidance to anyone who is in need due to economic difficulties, natural disasters, famine, war and pestilence, or any other unfortunate situation that causes people suffering.
If you're interested in doing some voluntary work please send us an e-mail.
You can see the cost division of our meals in our section "How much does a free meal cost us?"
Hare Krishna Food for life funds its activities by approaching potential donors, but mainly through the profit of our Govinda's restaurants and the Food for Life outlet in Fortitude Valley.
